Alumina was requested to carry out a design based on a specification given by the main electrical contractor, Geoghegan Electrical, the brief was to come up with a standardise spec across 4 nursing homes, the main products used were LED downlight’s, a bespoke Bedhead luminaire designed and produced by Alumina along with Step dimming LED panels, a simple but effective product used to create a nightlight in all the corridor areas without the increased cost of a dimming system, each corridor is set on timers to turn on and off at set times decreasing the output from 100% down to 10% of each light fitting during the night time period.
